CHARACTERS

Welcome to FFVII Characters here we will discuss the Main Characters of FFVII for Shinra, Sephiroth and Jenova if more detail go to the SHINRA - SEPHIROTH - JENOVA section (when it gets up and running)!
The LOVE TRIANGLE in FFVII is only really seen in DISC 1 (PSX VERSION) but its presence is still all over the game to the very end.

Cloud Strife:

Cloud is the main character of FFVII and is also the character in which the Love Triangle revolves around, he was a member of an elite mercanary group called SOLDIER and was one of the best there, he was in 1ST CLASS. He left soldier and was recruited into a gang of Eco Warriors named Avalanche, where he met Barret and Tifa. When he escaped from a power plant explosion he met Aeris and an unusual creature named Red XIII. The reason he left soldier was his Idol, Sephiroth burnt down his hometown and killed his mother and severly injured Tifa. During DISC 1 he searches for Sephiroth with Tifa, Barret, Aeris and Red XIII and gains alot of frieds on the way there.

Barret Wallace:

Barret is the second character you meet, just as you go in to blow up Mako Reactor No. 1. He has a gun instead of an arm to get back at the Shinra for destroying his hometown Corel and killing his wife and friend Dyne. He was the one that started Avalanche with Tifa, he leaves his daughter with Aeris' mum and goes off with Cloud. He was a coal miner.

Tifa Lockheart:

Tifa is Cloud's childhood friend (ALMOST ALL RPGs HAVE ONE) who lived in Cloud's Hometown of Nibelheim by Mt. Nibel. She joins Avalanche because Sephiroth kills her father and destroys Nibelheim. She is apart of the Love Triangle with Cloud. She has no-one but Barret in Midgar so she follows Barret and Cloud on their Journey.

Aeris Grainsborough:

This game revolves around Aeris. She makes up the Love Triangle. She has no affilation with Sephiroth. Aeris is the Last Surviving Ancient (Cetra) and also when she leaves she makes the story complete. She is a true friend to all and a bit happy-go-lucky. She hates the Shinra and especially the Turks. When Tseng dies she gets a bit upset because she grew up with Tseng wanting her. Also she hates Hojo. Aeris' Hometown appears to be Icicle Village

Red XIII (Nanaki):

Red XIII is another experiment Hojo made up, he wished for Red XIII and Aeris to mate (ugggh!). Red decides to travel with the group until they reach his hometown of Cosmo Canyon. Red XIII is a dog like creature who's body is covered in Red and tail is a fire (the people who made Pokèmon riped this off). His species has incredable Longevity, he is 48 but really averaged up he is 16.

Cait Sith:

A talking cat above a Moggle Cait Sith seems to be more of a mystery than Red XIII does. He is a Toysaurus... (I don't know!) who tells Clouds fortune. He then joins to see where it leads to. His personality like some of his fortunes can't be trusted.

Cid Highwind:

Cid Highwind from Rocket Town is known by the people living there as the Capitan. A former Shinra employee Cid's wishes are to go into outer space. He canceled those dreams to save a life. Rufus attempts to take something of Cid's so Cid joins the group searching for Sephiroth.

Yuffie Kisaragi:

A mysterious Ninja who attacks the group and then joins with a plan. She is the first secret character. when you fight her you must talk to her and get everything right. She came from the resort town of Wutai and wishes to wage war on Shinra after Wutai was defeated. She goes with Cloud and Co. for only one reason..

Vincent Valintine:

He is as mysterious as Cait Sith and Red XIII. Hojo genetically altered him after his love gave birth to Sephiroth. He is a secret character aswell and wishes to get even with Hojo and put an end with Sephiroth.

Rufus Shinra:

Rufus became president of Shinra because Sephiroth killed his father. Shinra and the new Avalanche (with all the main characters) have a common objective, kill Sephiroth. Shinra have a different way of doing it though and want Avalanche wiped out.

The Turks:

The Turks are Rude, Reno and Elena. They are Shinra's special dispatch unit. They look for possible candidates for SOLDIER and also kidnap and murder. They are fought at many intervals during the game but become a bit more of the good guys.

Professer Hojo:

Professor Hojo is Shinra's major profreesor he looks after all of the science documents and also has a dark Secret.

Jenova:

Jenova is known as "The Calamity form the Skies" she helps Sephiroth achiecve his goals as she is his Mother and so is Luceria (Vincent's chick). She appears in 4 forms: Jenova Birth, Jenova Life, Jenova Death and Jenova Synthesis.

Sephiroth:

Madman who mysteriously dissapeared when he burnt down Nivelheim has comeback to forfill his destiny. Both Shinra and Avalanche are searching for him and he is forfilling his dream by searching for the promised land.
